The Irvine producer of Boralyn, a metal matrix composite material, posted a third-quarter net loss of $4.2 million, or 37 cents a share, which included one-time charges totaling $1.2 million. The company reported a net loss of $3 million, or 28 cents a share, for the 1998 third quarter. Revenue was up 20% to $721,000.
