Share

Led by a plunge in burglaries and vehicle thefts, crime continued its seven-year decline from January to June this year, dropping by an average of 9% in areas patrolled by Orange County’s largest police agencies. The latest figures show the percentage change in reported crimes in cities of more than 100,000 people compared to the same six-month period last year. Violent crime includes homicides, rapes, robberies and assaults. Property crime includes burglaries and vehicle thefts. The FBI crime index counts violent crimes, property crimes, larcenies and arson offenses.
