I have just walked out on yet another film, “The Insider,” because it was shot with hand-held cameras. I am one of many who are made uncomfortable, sick and/or dizzy by this technique. It seems to be incorporated in practically every movie I see this year, leaving me the choice of looking down at the floor while listening or walking out.

It would be extremely useful if the movie reviewers would mention when and to what extent the camera is hand-held.

Why do you consistently ignore the casting director credit in your billing block at the end of your movie reviews? Most casting directors receive a main title, separate card in the credits and, on occasion, paid ads. The set decorator receives neither, and yet you list that category in your billing block.

The casting director’s influence is as important as that of the set decorator or costume designer. I am asking that you not only give credit where credit is due, but that you keep your readers informed with regard to all the key players.
