This glass turkey dish, along with a jar of an English cranberry sauce made with claret, would make a great hostess gift at Thanksgiving. They’re a nice change of pace from the usual bottle of wine or flowers. (Or you may not be going anywhere; the dish would look nifty on your Thanksgiving table as well.) The pressed glass turkey is from a 1920s design made by the L.E. Smith Glass Co. of Pennsylvania.

Seven-ounce jar Elizabethan Cranberry Sauce with claret made by Pearldawn Ltd., $7, from Restoration Hardware stores; covered turkey dish, about $24, from Restoration Hardware and Williams-Sonoma stores.
