Firstuse.com in Westlake Village has formed an alliance with eConstructors.com to enable Web designers to register their content and layout to protect Web sites and other intellectual property.

Currently, more than 2,700 Web developers who are registered users of eConstructors.com can access a special area on the Web site to establish a Firstuse.com account, receive three free transactions and a 15% discount.

“For independent developers, Web page content and layout are their most important business assets, and using Firstuse.com to digitally fingerprint and time stamp these assets will help users establish a verifiable trail of intellectual property rights,” said Kerry Pike, director of business development at Firstuse.com.
