Autodesk Earnings

Autodesk Inc., which makes design software used by architects and engineers, said it earned $16.7 million, or 27 cents a share, in its fiscal third quarter, down from $17.6 million, or 31 cents, in the year-earlier period, as revenue slipped 1% to $202 million. Analysts were expecting 13 cents a share. The latest results exclude charges related to job cuts and acquisitions, which would bring net income to $1.39 million, or 2 cents a share. Autodesk released its results after the close of regular U.S. trading.
