Wireless Conference at USC to Have a Distinctly Finnish Flavor

Share

Is the world going wireless? Some leading thinkers on the marriage of technology, entertainment and mobile devices will discuss the prospects for a wireless future with “anywhere, any time” access to content from the Internet and elsewhere.

The all-day think-fest at USC on Tuesday, called “Web Rush II, Content in Your Pocket: Visions of the Wireless Lifestyle,” will feature panel discussions with a distinctly Finnish flavor. Speakers include representatives from Finland’s mobile phone giant Nokia, the University of Helsinki, Finnish telecom carrier Sonera and WapIT Ltd., a Helsinki firm focused on bringing new services to wireless phones.

The event is being hosted by USC’s Annenberg School for Communication, the Consulate General of Finland, the Finland Technology Center TEKES, and the L.A. Regional Technology Alliance.
