Poll Finds Support for Lottery Waning

Support for Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman’s proposed state lottery to benefit education, which goes before voters next week, has declined according to a poll. A survey of 810 registered Alabama voters taken last week found that 51% supported the lottery compared with 61% in August.
