Connors Named Chairman at STM Wireless

Frank T. Connors, vice chairman and acting president of STM Wireless Inc., becomes chairman of the Irvine provider of communications products. Chief Executive Emil Youssefzadeh takes on the additional title of president. The vice chairman’s position has been eliminated. STM Wireless also said it named a new director, Claude Burgio, who is chairman and chief executive of Direc-To-Phone International Inc., recently renamed SkyOnline Inc. Burgio replaces Guy Numann, who did not stand for reelection.

Harold B. Stadler has been appointed senior vice president and regional manager of First National Bank’s new Orange County lending office in Irvine. Stadler previously ran his own boutique investment banking business and worked for Citicorp Securities, Wells Fargo and Security Pacific Bank.

Jerry D. Davis has been named managing regional partner-West Coast division for Hanover Co.’s new office in Newport Beach. He was formerly area managing partner of JPI, responsible for development opportunities throughout Southern California. Davis has also been vice president of acquisitions/dispositions for Evans Withycombe Residential, executive vice president for Western National Properties, managing division partner for Trammell Crow Co., a CPA for Arthur Andersen & Co., and manager of his own development company. Houston-based Hanover is a developer of multifamily housing.

Gregory W. Preston has joined the law firm of Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory LLP. He will serve as chairman of the corporate practice in the Irvine office and will oversee the firm-wide corporate group expansion plan. Preston was formerly a senior partner in the Orange County office of McDermott, Will & Emery, where he practiced in the areas of corporate, securities, mergers and acquisitions, general business and contract law.
