EToys Unveils Online Hobby Shop

Internet toy retailer EToys will launch a new online shop today devoted to hobbyists, leapfrogging ahead of cross-town rival EHobbies. Santa Monica-based EToys, the leading Internet toy seller, said its new Hobby Shop will sell more than 3,000 products. The Hobby Shop will also include editorial content for hobbyists. The EHobbies site is expected to launch later this month. Shares of EToys jumped $10.38 to close at $79 in Nasdaq trading Wednesday.
