Beanie Baby Sales Figures Misstated

* “Beanie Baby Statement Could Backfire on Ty” [Sept. 2] states that our revenue was estimated at $1.7 million in 1995.

Although we do not want to specify our exact sales for 1995, $1.7 million is a gross underestimate. In fact, we actually paid our commissioned sales representatives an amount greater than $1.7 million for 1995.

Lastly, the article stated that our 1998 estimated revenue was reported to be $674 million in 1998. Our net income for 1998 exceeded $700 million.
