Ex-Sutro Director Founder of Berkshire Advisory Group

* Robert Lind, a former Sutro & Co. managing director and Rockwell International vice president, has founded Berkshire Bridge Advisory Group. The Pasadena-based investment bank will cater to small and mid-market companies in the areas of raising capital through private placements, arranging and negotiating strategic alliances and mergers and acquisitions. Joining Lind at Berkshire will be Vince Lawler, who also worked at Sutro.

* Ralphs Grocery Co. has promoted James Patitucci to senior vice president of sales and marketing. He will oversee all sales, marketing and advertising functions for the company’s 300-plus Ralphs supermarkets and will report directly to Los Angeles-based Ralphs President Sam Duncan.

* Beverly Hills-based USSearch.com, an Internet provider of public-record information, has appointed Robert B. Anderson as marketing vice president. Anderson, who co-founded broadcast design firm Silver Hammer, will be responsible for identifying business opportunities and defining new products.
