Kofax Imaging Acquired by Group

An investment group that includes a British holding company and German bank said Tuesday it has completed its acquisition of Irvine-based Kofax Image Products Inc.

The deal, financed largely by the American investment arm of Dresdner Bank AG, marries Kofax’s technology for digitally capturing and storing documents with the distribution strength of Dicom Group Plc of Berkshire, United Kingdom, which has been changing its focus to develop more products and services.

Kofax becomes a wholly owned unit of another member of the group, Imaging Components Corp. Its stock no longer trades on the Nasdaq market.
