The Irvine software company, formed from the merger of Platinum Software and DataWorks, said it lost $9.7 million, or 24 cents a share, for the third quarter, contrasted with net income of $4.7 million, or 16 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue more than doubled to $63.2 million from $30.3 million.
