The Friends of Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge, a volunteer group, will host a tour of the refuge at the Naval Weapons Station at 9 a.m. Oct. 30, and participants will have a chance to plant trees and shrubs on the base, and view birds.
No reservations are required for the free two-hour tour.
The tour starts at the main gate of the weapons station on Seal Beach Boulevard at 9 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring walking shoes, sunscreen and binoculars.
