In Mann’s Own Words

As a longtime Aimee Mann fan, I was pleased to read Natalie Nichols’ complimentary review of her performances at Largo (“Mann Puts Emphasis on the Songs,” Oct. 15).

However, Nichols is apparently unaware than Mann co-wrote “The Other End (of the Telescope),” which was credited solely to Elvis Costello. Therefore, it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that she was able to “infuse her own meaning into the tune.”
