The Irvine manufacturer of surgical devices and technologies posted a net loss of $2.5 million, or 23 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $1.2 million, or 11 cents a share, for the 1998 third quarter. Revenue rose 91% to a record $1 million.
