Dodger official Jack Zduriencik has been hired as the Milwaukee Brewers’ director of scouting, baseball sources said.

Zduriencik, who served as the Dodgers’ director of international scouting, will be introduced Monday during a news conference at County Stadium in Milwaukee. He has an extensive background in international scouting, having also worked for the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Zduriencik had been a key member of the Dodgers’ efforts to rebuild the farm system during his only season in the organization. He was among the first people General Manager Kevin Malone hired after becoming the player-personnel boss last September.

Shortly after joining the Dodgers, Zduriencik signed Taiwanese outfielder Chin-Feng Chen, who emerged as the organization’s top position-player prospect after a strong season at Class-A San Bernardino.
