Siem Reap, site of Angkor Wat and Cambodia’s other splendid temples, is now more accessible. Bangkok Airways has increased its service from Bangkok. The one-hour flight costs about $368 round trip.
Daily flights leave Bangkok at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:40 p.m., and 4 p.m., and depart Siem Reap for Bangkok at 9:30 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 2:20 p.m. (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) or 4 p.m. (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) and 5:40 p.m., making a one-day visit to Angkor Wat possible.
Plans to establish an air route to Siem Reap from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam are on hold.
