BRIEFLY / COMPUTER SERVICES : Amplicon Faces Another Lawsuit

Share

A Florida firm filed a suit Thursday accusing Amplicon Inc., a Santa Ana-based computer leasing firm, of misrepresenting terms of a lease and engaging in a pattern of abuse involving dozens of other clients. The lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court is a continuation of a string of contract litigations against the company, whose stock and sales have plummeted since a Wall Street Journal article in June outlined its history of disagreements with clients, including Ingersoll-Rand Co., James River Corp. and U.S. Robotics Inc. Amplicon officials could not be reached for comment on the suit by Norton Lilly International of Jacksonville. Amplicon stock closed Thursday at $15.06, up 22 cents a share.
