Plane Crashes in Scotland; 8 Killed

GLASGOW, Scotland —
A small plane carrying airline workers crashed Friday in a field near Glasgow, killing eight people, police said.
Three survivors were taken to two area hospitals, where they were reported to be in serious condition.
The Civil Aviation Authority said the plane, a Cessna 404, was believed to belong to a company called Edinburgh Air Charters. The passengers were crew members from the airline Airtours International who were being flown from Glasgow to Aberdeen airport. The cause of the crash was unclear.
