Virtual Source Inc. in Ventura has signed an agreement with DirectLine Partners to help it win government contracts for its Internet procurement products.

Under the agreement, DirectLine will represent Virtual Source with government entities, including cities, counties and states.

“Virtual Source Network is ideal for municipalities,” said Robert “Jay” McShirley, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. “It accommodates the special requirements that most municipalities have related to the security of the bidding process.”

Virtual Source, a subsidiary of Interactive Buyers Network Ltd., develops Internet applications for business. The company’s flagship product, Virtual Source Network, allows companies to create a Web-based purchasing system to automate all aspects of corporate procurement, such as material requisition, proposal requests, and direct ordering from vendor catalogs.
