Saddleback College’s first-ever 6 a.m. class has been such a success that the school is considering expanding its schedule to include more early morning courses.

The school started an English composition course at 6 a.m. this semester as an experiment, to test student interest in early classes. Initially, administrators thought the class would appeal to working students who wished to squeeze in a course before their workday began.

The class, however, quickly filled up with primarily 18- to 20-year-old students who wished to get an early start on school days.
