Road Grader Kills Man, 97, on His Way to Mass

VERMILLION, Minn. —
A 97-year-old man on his way to morning Mass stepped into the path of a road grader and was crushed to death.
The vehicle was operated by a county employee who was blinded by the sun Wednesday and didn’t see Peter Marschall until it was too late, the Minnesota State Patrol said. No charges were filed against the driver.
