A fourth death is being investigated in an outbreak of mosquito-borne encephalitis that had workers spraying insecticide across New York City, including Central Park. A 79-year-old woman who died Saturday was among 10 new suspected cases of St. Louis encephalitis, Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani said. Blood samples from all 10 are being sent to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention laboratory in Denver for testing, and at least 80 other potential cases are under investigation.
