Sony Corp. said it will begin selling its new PlayStation video-game machine March 4 in Japan at a retail price of about $360. The system, known as PlayStation2, will be available in the U.S. and Europe in the fall of 2000. Sony will be the second manufacturer to release a next-generation gaming system. All of the new devices will offer Internet hookups and high-quality graphics. Sega Enterprises began selling its Dreamcast machine in the U.S. last week and sales topped $97 million in the first 24 hours. Nintendo will launch its new machine next year.
