National Technical Systems Reports Loss in Net Income

National Technical Systems Inc., Calabasas, announced net income of $685,000 for the second quarter ended July 31, compared with net income of $801,000 for the same period last year. Revenues decreased to $22.1 million compared with $23.2 million. The company said the decline was due principally to a 15% increase in general and administrative expenses incurred by the company’s move into telecommunications and other markets as aerospace and defense business softened.
