IHOP Corp. has jumped to the Big Board. The Glendale-based company, which owns and operates the International House of Pancakes Restaurants, now trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol IHP. Before Friday, it had traded on Nasdaq under the symbol IHOP. . . .

Consumer electronics retailer Best Buy Inc. said it plans to repurchase as much as $200 million of its outstanding stock. Shares rose $3.06 to close at $59.31 on the NYSE. . . .

Vanguard Capital Opportunity Fund’s board raised the fund’s minimum initial investment to $25,000 from $3,000 to stem rising inflows, the company said. Since the end of 1997, Capital Opportunity has returned a cumulative 86%, compared with 39% for the blue-chip Standard & Poor’s 500 index. At the end of August, the fund had $877 million in assets, up from $206 million at the end of last year. The change does not apply to current shareholders. . . .

Standard & Poor’s said Bed Bath & Beyond will replace BankBoston in the S&P; 500 after the close of trading today. BankBoston is merging with Fleet Financial.
