Homestore.com Hires Away 3 CNN Interactive Execs

Homestore.com Inc. in Thousand Oaks has hired a team of executives from CNN Interactive to augment the company’s new Business Development Group.

Louis Lettes, Jeff Garrard and Sonia Mize helped build CNN.com, one of America’s most heavily trafficked Web sites with more than 10 million page views per day. Lettes served as vice president for business development at CNN Interactive, Garrard served as senior executive editor, and Mize was director of business development.

With Homestore.com, the team will focus on Web content that covers all aspects of the home industry--including mortgages, gardening, home technology and home services. The group’s mission will be to create user-friendly information that can only be found through Homestore.com.

Lettes will serve as general manager, Garrard will be vice president for programming and will manage the editorial team, and Mize will serve as director of content development, overseeing the creation of third-party content relationships. The group will be based in Atlanta.
