* As part of its ambitious global expansion program, Konka Group Ltd., China’s leading television maker, has signed a five-year agreement to produce cellular phones equipped with Lucent Technologies’ global system for mobile technology. The cellular phones will be available in China in October and in Europe in 2001. Shenzhen, China-based Konka, which began selling television sets in the U.S. last fall, is also coming out with a low-cost HDTV that is scheduled to hit the U.S. market in November.

* Eastman Kodak Co. is selling its Image Bank collection of 30 million photographs and 15,000 hours of film footage to Getty Images Inc. for $183 million in cash. The deal would create the world’s largest privately owned archive of more than 60 million still images and more than 30,000 hours of film.
