CYPRESS

The Recreation and Community Services Commission last week honored arts commissioner Paula English with the 1999 Community Volunteer Award.

English was recognized as an outstanding citizen for her participation in Cypress community organizations and events, including her current position as chair of the Cypress Cultural Arts Commission, her 25-year membership in various PTAs, co-chairing the Festival of Arts, her memberships in the Cypress Community Safety Coordinating Council and the Orange County Literacy Guild, and her participation in the Cypress Women’s Club and Brownie and Girl Scout groups.
