24 Reported Killed in China Truck Accident

BEIJING —
A truck carrying construction workers and materials plunged down a 65-foot slope and overturned in southwest China, killing 24 people and injuring 25, the Beijing Youth Daily said Saturday.
The truck was carrying 49 people, 46 of them in its cargo compartment, when the accident occurred Friday morning in Lu county in Sichuan province, the newspaper said.
