SM&A; Lands Contract for Government Systems

SM&A; Corp. said Monday it received a five-year government subcontract with a potential value of $47 million. The contract is worth about $8 million to $10 million a year, the Newport Beach company said.

Under the contract, SM&A; agreed to provide information security, communications network modeling and simulation services to the U.S. Army and other federal government agencies as one of the core members of the OAO Corp. of Greenbelt, Md., team.

Annual revenue--SM&A; Corp. in Irvine posted revenue of $106.7 million in 1999. An incorrect figure was reported Tuesday in a Dow Jones News Services story.

SM&A; provides systems engineering, program integration, information technology and proposal management products and services. The company reported 1999 revenue of $28.1 million. The company’s stock closed unchanged at $5.13 a share in Nasdaq trading.
