* Kmart Corp.’s Internet venture, BlueLight.com, plans to acquire a stake in SubmitOrder.com and hire the closely held Internet fulfillment company to pack and ship merchandise and accept customer returns. The size of the stake and terms of the agreement with Dublin, Ohio-based SubmitOrder.com were not disclosed. BlueLight.com, which is 60%-owned by Kmart, said it could rein in start-up costs and focus on marketing and sales by using an outside firm for distribution. Kmart shares closed off 19 cents at $19.50 on the NYSE.

* Honeywell International Inc. named Chief Executive Michael Bonsignore to the added position of chairman after Lawrence Bossidy retired April 1. Bonsignore, 59, became CEO of Honeywell in December after AlliedSignal Inc. completed its $16-billion purchase of the former Honeywell Inc. and adopted the Honeywell name. Bossidy, 65, had served as chairman since 1992. Bonsignore was chairman and chief executive of the old Honeywell. Shares of Morris Township, N.J.-based Honeywell rose $1.69 to close at $54.38 on the NYSE.
