DivcoWest acquired 1900 and 1901 Avenue of the Stars, two high-rises comprising more than 1 million square feet of space, for about $200 million in April 1999. Divco-West is remodeling both buildings extensively, according to John Gleason, regional vice president of the San Jose-based company, who said the renovations include a major upgrade of each building’s ground-floor lobbies and plazas, and upgrades to telecommunications and air conditioning systems.
