* C.H. Chen has been appointed president and chief executive of Diodes Inc. of Westlake Village after the resignation of Michael Rosenberg, the company said. Rosenberg reportedly left to pursue other interests.

Diodes Inc. manufactures discrete semiconductor devices.

* Jeffrey Sakson has been promoted to senior vice president of national publicity for Universal Pictures in Universal City, the company said. Sakson will supervise Universal’s publicity staff.

Universal Pictures is a part of Universal Studios, a unit of the Seagram Co.

* Disney/ABC Cable Networks announced several recent appointments to its marketing staff. Adam Sanderson has been named senior vice president of marketing. He will oversee marketing efforts for the Burbank-based company’s cable channels. In addition, John Rood joins the company as vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for strategic marketing planning. Hope Wintner has been promoted to executive director of brand management. She will steward brands for the network’s developing franchises. David Watson has been promoted to online director and Todd Hatley to director of promotions.

Disney/ABC Cable Networks includes such properties as the History Channel, Lifetime Movie Network and the Discovery Channel.

* Robert Taragan has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of CyberTarget, a new online market research division of NetZero in Westlake Village. Taragan is a 21-year veteran of AC Nielsen and Nielsen Media Research.

NetZero provides Internet access to 3 million registered users in exchange for information useful to advertisers.

* Marcus H. Feder has been named senior associate of Grubb & Ellis Co.’s industrial services group. He will be headquartered in the company’s Sherman Oaks office.

Grubb & Ellis is a commercial real estate firm.

* John J. Clarke has been elected president of the Construction Industry Research Board in Burbank, the organization said. He is president of Clarke Contracting Corp. in Lawndale.

CIRB is a nonprofit research and information center.
