Chamber Offers Its Members Group Health Insurance Plans

The Ventura Chamber of Commerce is offering its members group health insurance plans from Blue Shield of California.

Each qualified group of two employees or more will receive the lowest available rate Blue Shield offers, based on the size of the group and the benefit plan design, chamber officials said. Rates are discounted 5% to 15% for groups of five to 49 employees.

The offer is made on a guaranteed issue basis, and employee statements of health generally are not required.

Spouse and dependent coverage are available, as well as dental, term life and insurance and prescription benefits.
