‘Falcone’ Misfires: CBS’ heavily promoted mob drama “Falcone” opened unimpressively in the ratings, as Tuesday’s two-hour premiere averaged 10.5 million viewers overall but steadily lost audience members each half-hour. Nielsen estimates show that the series finished a distant third at 10 p.m. with 9.3 million viewers, while “NYPD Blue” (15.5 million) recorded its highest rating in four weeks. “Falcone” is being introduced using a novel broadcast pattern, airing nightly (excluding Sunday) through Tuesday.

‘Millionaire’ Celebs: ABC has set May 1-3--in the midst of the next ratings sweeps--for celebrity editions of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” Lance Bass of ‘N Sync, Drew Carey, Dana Carvey, David Duchovny, Kathie Lee Gifford, Rosie O’Donnell, Ray Romano and Vanessa L. Williams will try to earn money for charity.

Upcoming Musicals: “Copacabana,” the musical inspired by Barry Manilow’s song and written by Manilow, Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman, is booked into Pasadena Civic Auditorium Feb. 19-25. The rest of Pasadena’s next season of musicals includes “Smokey Joe’s Cafe” (Oct. 3-8), “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” (Nov. 14-19), “Chicago” (April 24-29, 2001) and “Ragtime” (June 12-17, 2001). Fans of “Ragtime” will get an earlier chance to see its return at Orange County Performing Arts Center, Sept. 17-24. Another big show will make its first return to the area when “Fosse” steps into the Shubert Theatre in Century City for a June 15-July 9 run.

Paris En Pointe: The Paris Opera Ballet will appear at the Orange County Performing Arts Center after an engagement in San Francisco next year. The San Francisco Ballet will present the Paris Opera Ballet in performances of Rudolf Nureyev’s production of “La Bayadere” and Anjelin Preljocaj’s “Le Parc” April 30-May 5, 2001, in San Francisco. The program will be repeated in Costa Mesa, according to a San Francisco Ballet representative, but the dates have not been announced.

Nanu-Yahoo!: Robin Williams has gone cyber. The Oscar-winning clown unveiled Wednesday his own Internet audio site, https://www.RobinWilliamsaudibile.com. Williams will provide a mix of old and new comedy bits. Each week, Williams will release a half-hour of different material.

Fabrice Morvan, former front man of Milli Vanilli, will be on Rick Dees’ radio show at 9 a.m. today on KIIS-FM (102.7), singing “Blame It on the Rain”--a remake of Milli’s classic signature hit written by Diane Warren, and “reinvented” by Morvan. . . . Entertainment industry insiders and civil rights advocates will participate in a panel discussion on “Minority Images in Film and Television” at the Museum of Tolerance at 7 tonight.
