Inc. magazine, which publishes a list of the 500 fastest-growing privately held businesses in the U.S. every year, is up for sale.

The privately held, Boston-based publication has retained investment banking firm Goldman Sachs to find a buyer. The selling price is rumored to be between $150 million and $200 million.

In 1999, Roth Staffing, a Brea provider of temporary and permanent staffing services, topped the Inc. 500. The company’s revenue grew 20,332% between its founding in 1994 and 1998.
