Alternative Rep Gets $50,000 Gift
Alternative Repertory Theatre has received $50,000 from BMC Software Inc. to sponsor this and next season’s productions at the Santa Ana-based theater.
“This is a coup for us,” said Patricia L. Terry, ART artistic director, in a statement announcing the grant. “For the past two years, we have been actively soliciting corporate sponsors to help us with the increasing costs of production and reaching new audiences.”
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, BMC Software is a major independent software vendor with three offices in Irvine and about 200 local employees.
ART’s current production of John Patrick Shanley’s “Psychopathia Sexualis” will run through June 24. Tickets: $22 (Fridays and Sundays); $25 (Saturdays). (714) 836-7929.
