Hey, Aren’t You Being Just a Little Too Hyper?

When I read articles like “Beauty That’s No Mystery” (March 30), I always come away scratching my head. By what standards are faces judged to be “hyper-masculine” or “hyper-feminine”?

I didn’t find any of the faces to be “hyper” one way or the other. The article read like an advertisement for plastic surgeons and “beauty consultant” (whatever that is) Cindy Jackson, right down to featuring her Web site. Was she somebody’s friend?
