Front to Back

A pat on the back for the great Food section this week--tons of great recipes and articles. But a pan for the amateurish layout that had recipes on the front and back sides of pages, which prevented these recipes from being cut and saved intact!

Why is it that every time I go to cut out a favorite recipe from the Times Food section, I turn the page over only to find that you’ve printed another “savable” recipe on the back side of the same page; now I have to destroy one to save the other. Have you ever considered placing advertisements on the back side, so as to avoid this frustration?

Editor’s Note: This is probably the most common complaint we have about the Food section. We try to prevent running recipes back to back, but because we in the editorial department have no say over how much advertising there is in the section or where it is placed, sometimes it is beyond our control.
