StarBase Completes Deal for ObjectShare

StarBase Corp., a Santa Ana computer network tools maker, said Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of financially troubled ObjectShare Inc. in a stock swap valued at about $8.85 million.
StarBase said in a press release that the exchange of stock amounted to about 71 cents for each share of the Irvine firm’s common stock. ObjectShare stockholders received about 0.09 StarBase common shares for each of their shares. StarBase issued about 1.2 million shares in the deal.
ObjectShare provides object-oriented business systems for network computing.
StarBase’s stock lost 78 cents Thursday, closing at $5.06 a share in Nasdaq trading.
