Quarterbacks
The Best
1. CHAD PENNINGTON, Marshall, 6-3, 229--Good arm, great accuracy. Perfect for a West Coast offense. Not a scrambler.
* Where he’s going: First round.
2. CHRIS REDMAN, Louisville, 6-2, 222--Very accurate with good field vision. Not afraid of getting hit, but there are statues with more mobility.
* Where he’s going: Second round.
3. TEE MARTIN, Tennessee, 6-1, 227--Throws the nicest-looking passes of anyone on this list, but you can’t always tell where the ball is going. Sometimes he’ll find the receiver, sometimes he’ll find a guy sitting on the bench.
* Where he’s going: Third round.
4. TODD HUSAK, Stanford, 6-3, 216--Reads defenses well, works hard, has good leadership skills.
* Where he’s going: Fourth round.
5. GIOVANNI CARMAZZI, Hofstra, 6-2, 224--Has a nice arm. Moved up the list after a good showing in the combine. But he hasn’t played against top-level opponents.
* Where he’s going: Fourth round.
