Internet Service Provider Founder to Assume CEO Duties

* Boris Bugarski has been named chief executive of JungleJungle Inc., an Internet service provider in Santa Ana. Before founding JungleJungle, he worked for four years on Internet marketing strategies. His twin brother, Aleks, was appointed executive vice president. He has been involved in private fund-raising for the last four years and has participated in business development for Trispectrum Corp. marketing and sales.

* John P. Guercio, director of private client services for Institutional Equity in New York, has joined the advisory board of Mcglen Internet Group Inc.

* David C. Callis has been appointed vice president, commercial construction for MBK Construction Ltd., a division of MBK Real Estate Ltd. in Irvine. He had been operations manager for the last two years. Before that, Callis was with Kitchell Contractors in Irvine.

* Janice Hopkins has joined Emerge Corp. in Costa Mesa as vice president of marketing. She had been senior vice president of marketing for LoansDirect.com and director of marketing for PacifiCare Health Systems’ Secure Horizons division.

* Barry J. Kamel has been elected to the board of directors of the Seniors Housing Council of Orange County. He previously served on the board from 1993-96. Kamel is president of the multifamily development division of Sares-Regis Group in Irvine.

* Mike Gilligan has been appointed national sales manager of Rusty Apparel and Surfboards in Irvine. He has been part of the company’s sales force since its inception in 1985.

* Penny Cotner has been named director of e-business at Wyle Electronics in Irvine. She had been director of marketing at Wyle for suppliers Agilent Technologies Inc. and Conexant Systems Inc. Before joining Wyle Electronics, Cotner spent six years as a design engineer with Rockwell International, working in software development and project management.
