* Diane Mayer has been named membership chairwoman of the Business Marketing Assn., Southern California chapter, for the 2000-01 term. She is business development manager for J. Rice Communications Inc. in Santa Ana.

* Ralph Selway has been named first vice president and regional manager for Preferred Bank in Irvine. He was formerly vice president and branch manager at Cal Fed in Laguna Hills and vice president and branch manager for First Interstate Bank in Newport Beach.
