Sony Names Television Division Chief

* Sony Pictures Entertainment named Len Grossi as president of its Columbia TriStar Television division, putting him in charge of its network TV, family entertainment and Game Show Network operations. Grossi, 54, is taking on some of the responsibilities of Andrew Kaplan, executive vice president of Columbia TriStar Television Group, who left to become chief executive of the Hollywood Stock Exchange.

Grossi was a senior executive vice president at the UPN TV network for four years until 1998, after managing television production, marketing and distribution for News Corp.’s Twentieth Television.

* Catholic Healthcare West Southern California, a Pasadena-based hospital operator, has promoted three executives.

Gerald Kozai, formerly president of St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood and Robert F. Kennedy Medical Center in Hawthorne, has been promoted to senior vice president of operations south market. He will be responsible for his former hospitals’ overall operations, as well as those of St. Mary Medical Center and Long Beach Community Medical Center in Long Beach, St. Vincent Medical Center and California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Peter Aprato, formerly administrator and chief operating officer for Robert F. Kennedy Medical Center and St. Francis Medical Center, has been appointed president of St. Francis Medical Center.

Steven Fellows has been appointed president of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center in San Gabriel. He was chief financial officer for Glendale Medical Center.
