The Newport Beach specialty and agricultural products company reported second-quarter net income of $689,200, or 26 cents a share, a gain of 11% from the $619,300, or 23 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter last year. Sales rose slightly to $17.8 million from $17.7 million.
