Intramedicine, CVS Corp. Enter Partnership

Intramedicine Inc. in Westlake Village has entered into a multiyear partnership with drugstore giant CVS Corp. to become part of CVS’ internal pharmacist education program.

Under the terms of the agreement, Intramedicine will provide CVS with access to its proprietary online medical research database and to customized on-site professional training seminars. CVS will also feature Intramedicine’s consumer information on its Web site.

In addition, Intramedicine has granted CVS an exclusive license in the chain drugstore sector for the use of its professional vitamin, mineral, herbal and other products.

“This exclusive partnership is groundbreaking because it is the first time that a major drugstore chain has made a significant commitment to educate their pharmacists on integrative medicine,” said Jeff Eisenberg, CEO of Intramedicine.
