Anthony Quinn Library to Close for Remodeling
The Anthony Quinn Library will undergo extensive renovations that will give it a new look, county Supervisor Gloria Molina announced Tuesday.
Named after the actor, who grew up on the Eastside, the library will close for renovations this Sunday through Nov. 15.
Molina has committed $500,000 to fund the project. The work will include meeting room improvements, reconditioned restrooms, redesign of the Homework Center, renovation of the circulation desk, new interior signage, improved building identification, restoration of an exterior mural, painting and other remodeling.
” I am positive the refurbishments will strengthen pride of ownership, not only from our library staff, but patrons as well,” Molina said.
The last day of service to the public is Saturday. During the closure, library items may be returned to any other county library or to a book drop outside the Quinn Library.
Nearby libraries include the City Terrace Library at 4025 E. City Terrace Drive and the East Los Angeles Library at 4801 E. 3rd Street.
